This castle structure was really interesting from the first vantage point where I saw it. I later realized that it's part of the city cemetery next to an obolisk called "Cleopatra's Needle" which no one has been able to explain.

I love the architecture in Edinburgh ... and, this postcard was drawn while was eating lunch at a cafe.. my compositional judgements may have been distracted by the food on my plate..
